Al VolkerWXYZ: TV news writer and producer.  Died on January 6, 2014, at his home in Hoover, Alabama.  Al worked at WXYZ-TV from January 1976 through November 1979.  He attended the University of Miami, Class of 1966.  He attended high schools both Morgantown, WV and Coral Gables, FL.

Memorial services were private by his family.
