Hate Speech from Franklin Graham

August 30, 2019 by Rosa Underwood

Rosa Underwood | Connert Media

The beauty of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution as clarified by Thomas Jefferson in 1802 is that there is “separation between church and state“. If a certain religion believes a certain way, they should not be influencing how our government enacts and enforces the law.

After telling presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg to “repent” for being gay earlier this year, Franklin Graham has launched his next hateful attack on the LGBTQ community.

When Fox News Radio asked Graham about state laws that require LGBT-inclusive curricula in public schools, he replied, “I don’t believe that the schools have the right to teach our children something that is an affront to God… Homosexuality goes against God’s plan for the human race.”

Under Franklin’s leadership, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) has gone from preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to preaching hatred and Trumpism — yet several mainstream leaders continue to serve on the organization’s board.

They include executives from Coca-Cola, Panera, and SunTrust Bank, as well as former New Hampshire Governor Stephen Merrill. These are the types of leaders who might listen if enough Christians who believe in Jesus’s message of love call on them to resign in protest! 1
