Mrs. Martha Etzel
Mrs. Martha Etzel, a life long resident of Huron County, passed away at Hubbard Memorial hospital on Sunday, May 7, after a long illness. Mrs. Etzel was born February 13, 1987 at Port Austin. She is survived by her husband, William, and three children, Norman J. Etzel, Gunners Mate 3rd. class U.S. Navy who is overseas on convoy duty; Miss Minabell L. Etzel, Bad Axe; Lenhart Etzel, Milwaukee; three brothers and four sisters survive, they are Emil Zabell, Walter Zabell; Fred Zabell, Pigeon; Mrs. Gustave Rook, Bad Axe; Mrs. Elmer Schultz, Unionville; Mrs. Charles Modenhaur, Detroit; Mrs. Hugo Hoppe, Bad Axe, and her mother, Mrs. Laura Zabell, Bad Axe.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. fast time at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bad Axe, with the Rev. Elmer Steig officiating. Burial will be in Forest Bay cemetery.
